Ally Bank Current CD Rates

Ally Bank was formerly GMAC Bank, of course, but still retains some of the highest CD rates out there, nationally.  We last checked up on them a couple of months ago and Ally CD rates were still holding strong.  We here at Highest CD Rates Info had another look and are going to bring you up-to-date now on what’s happening with Ally certificate of deposit rates.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Ally Bank CD Rates.  For our latest article on Ally CD Rates, please see the following page: Ally Bank CD Rates

As before, the 9-month No Penalty offer at Ally Bank CD rates still stands at 2.05% annual percentage yield (APY) with an auto-renewal at 6 months at the standard rate.  As with all Ally Bank CD rates, this one requires no minimum deposit to open.

Other standard terms are available with no strings attached, of course, and current CD rates are pretty good compared to the national averages.

Ally CD rates on a 3 month term are 1.20% APY, 6 months at 1.80% APY, and 9 month at 1.75% APY.  These are good rates for short-term CDs and are actually some of the highest CD rates in the nation for these terms.

For 12 or 18 months, the Ally CD rates are 2.25% APY while 2 years get 2.40% APY.  A 3 year term has a 2.85% APY and a 4 year a 3.00% APY.  Long term Ally Bank CD rates for 5 year terms are 3.50% APY, which is high compared to most national rates at this term.

All Ally Bank accounts are FDIC insured, of course.  Ally CD rates can change at any time, though, so if you like any of these current CD rates, make sure to lock yours in quickly.  Ally continues to offer some of the highest CD rates in the nation right now.
