AmTrust CD rates are in rising tier terms with $5,000 needed to avoid fees. They range in terms from 6 months to 60 months.
A 6 month term deposit yields 1.10% APY (annual percentage yield), 9 months at 1.25% APY, and one year at 1.50% APY. These are just above national averages right now.
Eighteen months also gives 1.50% APY, 24 months gives 2.00% APY. Both of these are also just above national averages for those terms.
At 30 months, the rate is only 0.75% APY, which is well below the average nationally. 36 months gives 2.00% APY, which is about the national average and 60 months gives only 0.75% APY, which is well below national averages as well.
Overall, current CD rates and terms at AmTrust are pretty good for some terms and definitely not that great on others. Some of those lower rates are raised when the deposit amount goes up, but even raising your deposit to $50,000 on that 30 month CD, for instance, only raises the rate to 1.00% APY.
