The promotional offers for BoA CD rates require a $5,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain. The promotional offer right now is for a 12 month term and gives current CD rates of 1.00% annual percentage yield (APY).
Another promotional offer in Bank of America certificate of deposit rates is the Risk Free CD, which also has a $5,000 minimum to open. This CD gives 0.50% APY for a 9 month term and allows you to close the account at any time, but has an auto-renewal of a like term at standard rates.
Finally, the Opt Up special Bank of America CD rates are for an 18 month term at 1.10% APY. This account allows you to upgrade to a higher rate (should one appear) once during the term.
Standard CDs start with 7-27 day terms with a minimum deposit of $5,000. These have BoA CD rates of 0.30% APY for up to 89 days in term.
