Capital One CD Rates
Going bank-by-bank, we here at Highest CD Rates Info are continuing our look at the latest and highest CD rates offered at the major national banks. Today, we’re having a look at Capital One CD rates, which we haven’t done for some time.

There are several offers in Capital One certificate of deposit rates right now. These current CD rates require a $5,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain and vary in annual percentage yield (APY) by term length.
For the shorter-term investor, the Capital One CD rates on a 6 month term are 0.25% APY and for one year they are 0.50% APY. Not necessarily the highest CD rates nationally, but competitive.
For 18 months, the rate is 1.15% APY while a special on a two year term gives highest CD rates of 2.30% APY which are definitely one of the highest in the U.S. right now. Those are great Capital One certificate of deposit rates.
For the 30 month term, 1.25% APY is offered and for 3 years the current CD rates are 2.00% APY. Four years gives a big 2.95% APY though, another solid Capital One CD rates offer that is one of the highest CD rates nationally for the term.
A 5 year term nets 2.40% APY as do 7 and 10 year terms.
Jumbo (over $100,000) rates are the same. Be aware that the current FDIC insurance coverages of $250,000 are only good until 2013, so if your certificate of deposit’s term ends after January 1, 2013, it will not be covered.
