Since we looked at Utah-based Zions Bank yesterday, we here at Highest CD Rates Info thought that we’d also update you on what’s going on with Ally Bank CD rates as well.

Ally Bank CD rates are subject to change given market conditions and bank policies. Ally CD rates as of May 5, 2010 are as follows. For an investment of three months, the bank returns an APY of 0.74%. A 6-month investment at the bank will yield 1.15% APY and a 9-month investment will return an APY of 1.10%.

The standard investment of one year at Ally Bank returns an APY of 1.49%. An 18-month investment at the bank will return an APY of 1.65%. Ally certificate of deposit rates for three year investment are currently estimated at 2.33%. The current cd rates for four year investment at the ban k are estimated to return an APY of 2.59%.

The highest CD rates at Ally Bank are currently available on the five year CD. Investors can earn as high as 2.99% APY on this investment. There are no monthly fees charged on these accounts and customers can open these accounts for a very little amount as there are no minimum opening deposit requirements. Interest rates are compounded daily for these accounts. CD accounts are automatically renewed at maturity unless otherwise specified by the customers. In that case, the bank will not review the account and customers can take out their money and profits. Penalties are applicable in case of early withdrawals and other violations of the user agreement. Bank website has further details about the account and offers an online account opening feature.

Here at Highest CD Rates Info, we know that the highest rates are often to be found in Ally Bank CD rates, so we like to try to keep you up on the latest happening at Ally.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Ally Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on Ally CD Rates, please see the following page: Ally Bank CD Rates

Midvale, UT-based Ally Bank is one of the few companies in the United States that do not have any minimum balance requirements before buying Certificates of Deposit. Ally Bank CD Rates are also one of the highest in the financial market. These rates are available for both the high yield CD and no penalty CDs.

Ally CD rates for high yield investments are reported in the following lines. The rates remain the same irrespective of the total amount of balance. This means that a customer can deposit $500 for a 13-month CD at an APY of 1.89%. There are no restrictions or rules regarding the initial deposit or the amount needed to maintain the certificate. The above-mentioned rates are current cd rates and are subject to change in the longer term of investments.

Ally certificate of deposit rates are calculated over a scientific procedure where local and national economic indicators are taken into account before the final calculations. Additionally, these rates vary within the banking industry to a greater degree and depend on the financial health and priorities of a company.

Highest CD rates are accrued on the high yield investments. No penalty CDs, on the other hand, have a current fixed APY of 1.44% for a 9-month certificate. There are no minimum deposit regulations or fees charged on these accounts. APYs are generally constant across the nation, including no penalty CDs. They only vary in case of extreme changes and state regulations. Otherwise, Ally Bank is generally known for its strict implementation of equal CD rates across the nation.

Here at Highest CD Rates Info, we’ve gone through state-by-state to look at the locally highest CD rates and now we’re going to revisit some of our favorite banks that have shown some big changes recently. We have seen a lot of Ally Bank CD rates listed in those state-centric listings, so we thought we should look at the bank’s offers now, nationally.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Ally Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on Ally CD Rates, please see the following page: Ally Bank CD Rates

There are two types of Ally certificate of deposit rates: high yield and no penalty. The no penalty offer has only one term (9 months) with a 1.65% annual percentage yield (APY). It automatically renews at an additional six months at standard rates and has no minimum deposit.

Other Ally CD rates are in various terms and all have no minimum opening or maintenance deposit requirements.

The highest CD rates are nearly all the way through with a 3 month term giving a 1.20% APY, 6 months a 1.55% APY, and 9 months at 1.60% APY. One year or 18 months both give a 2.00% APY.

Longer terms for Ally Bank CD rates are two years at 2.30% APY, 3 years at 2.70% APY, 4 years at 2.95% APY, and five years at 3.40% APY.

Overall, these are some of the highest CD rates around the nation right now. Current CD rates are falling at some places and others are rising. Ally Bank (formerly GMAC) is definitely well above the national averages on nearly all deposit terms.

Ally Bank is an FDIC insured bank to the fullest extent of the law. If any of these Ally CD rates appeal to you, then lock your highest CD rates in now.

Ally Bank was formerly GMAC Bank, of course, but still retains some of the highest CD rates out there, nationally. We last checked up on them a couple of months ago and Ally CD rates were still holding strong. We here at Highest CD Rates Info had another look and are going to bring you up-to-date now on what’s happening with Ally certificate of deposit rates.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Ally Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on Ally CD Rates, please see the following page: Ally Bank CD Rates

As before, the 9-month No Penalty offer at Ally Bank CD rates still stands at 2.05% annual percentage yield (APY) with an auto-renewal at 6 months at the standard rate. As with all Ally Bank CD rates, this one requires no minimum deposit to open.

Other standard terms are available with no strings attached, of course, and current CD rates are pretty good compared to the national averages.

Ally CD rates on a 3 month term are 1.20% APY, 6 months at 1.80% APY, and 9 month at 1.75% APY. These are good rates for short-term CDs and are actually some of the highest CD rates in the nation for these terms.

For 12 or 18 months, the Ally CD rates are 2.25% APY while 2 years get 2.40% APY. A 3 year term has a 2.85% APY and a 4 year a 3.00% APY. Long term Ally Bank CD rates for 5 year terms are 3.50% APY, which is high compared to most national rates at this term.

All Ally Bank accounts are FDIC insured, of course. Ally CD rates can change at any time, though, so if you like any of these current CD rates, make sure to lock yours in quickly. Ally continues to offer some of the highest CD rates in the nation right now.
