For larger deposits, some of those AmTrust Bank CD rates improve. Current CD rates for 30 and 60 months raise to 0.85% APY. All others remain the same.

Deposits $25,000 to $499,999.99
Again, these larger deposits yield highest CD rates with both the 30 and 60 month improving up to 1.00% APY.

Most of these offers are not higher than the national average, especially on those very low current CD rates for 30 and 60 months. The shorter-term offers in AmTrust Bank certificate of deposit rates are competitive, however, and worth considering.

AmTrust is FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. If any of these highest CD rates appeal to you, lock yours in now as AmTrust Bank CD rates can change at any time.

We haven’t looked at available AmTrust certificate of deposit rates in some time, so we here at Highest CD Rates Info wanted to look at them again and bring you the latest. We have seen some changes nationally and some smaller banks such as AmTrust are showing those different rates more so than some others.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current AmTrust Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on AmTrust CD Rates, please see the following page: AmTrust Bank CD Rates

AmTrust CD rates are in rising tier terms with $5,000 needed to avoid fees. They range in terms from 6 months to 60 months.

A 6 month term deposit yields 1.10% APY (annual percentage yield), 9 months at 1.25% APY, and one year at 1.50% APY. These are just above national averages right now.

Eighteen months also gives 1.50% APY, 24 months gives 2.00% APY. Both of these are also just above national averages for those terms.

At 30 months, the rate is only 0.75% APY, which is well below the average nationally. 36 months gives 2.00% APY, which is about the national average and 60 months gives only 0.75% APY, which is well below national averages as well.

Overall, current CD rates and terms at AmTrust are pretty good for some terms and definitely not that great on others. Some of those lower rates are raised when the deposit amount goes up, but even raising your deposit to $50,000 on that 30 month CD, for instance, only raises the rate to 1.00% APY.

AmTrust Bank is FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. If any of these AmTrust Bank CD rates appeal to you, lock in your highest CD rates now as current CD rates change often.

AmTrust Bank offers a national online banking business, and also has over 60 branches in several states. Highest CD Rates Info recently reviewed AmTrust Bank CD rates to see how they compare to the other CD interest rates that are being offered these days. We had high hopes, as we had previously heard that AmTrust CD rates were among the best CD rates for short term CDs.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current AmTrust Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on AmTrust CD Rates, please see the following page: AmTrust Bank CD Rates

However, what we found in our research about AmTrust Bank CDrates was very disappointing. Put bluntly, the current CD rates at AmTrust are amongst the lowest interest rates that we have ever reviewed for certificates of deposit. Specifically, after reviewing CD rates for CDs varying in term from 6 months to 5 years, the highest Annual Percentage Yield (APY) that we found was 1.50 percent. Yes, that was the highest! And many of the AmTrust CDs that we reviewed were even lower — with APYs of 1.00 percent. Not only is that lower than most CD rates, it’s also lower than most high yield savings account rates these days. Given that, we certainly can’t recommend investing in an AmTrust CD under these current rates.

Let’s hope that CD rates at AmTrust Bank are increased sometime in the very near future — as rates can change often, and AmTrust has offered much more competitive rates in the past. So, we’ll keep an eye on the AmTrust Bank online banking website, hoping as CD rates can change with time and vary by location.
