In our series of bringing the highest CD rates for your further consideration, we will turn our attention to Frost Bank CD rates. These CDs come with a range of term periods to suit the needs of different kinds of people. Online banking and phone banking are provided to the customers of Frost CDs provided they have a checking account with Frost. Also, the CD balances can be used to waive the monthly maintenance fees for signature checking accounts. A major advantage of these CDs is that they are backed by Frost Bank and insured by FDIC, so you can be assured of the safety of your money.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Frost Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on Frost Certificate of Deposit Rates, please see the following page: Frost Bank CD Rates

The current CD rates of Frost Bank can be divided into two categories – the first category of rates is for CDs that are opened online and the next category is for CDs that are opened through a financial center or by phone. The Frost Bank CD rate for a CD that is opened online is 0.25% for 180 days, 0.45% for 1 year and 1.00% for 2 years respectively, if the balance is between $1,000 and $99,999. For balances between $100,000 and $250,000, the interest rates are 0.30% for a period of 180 days and 1.00% for a period of one or two years. For CDs opened by phone or through a financial center, the rates are 0.15% for a period of 90 days, 0.25% for 180 days, 0.45% for 1 year, 0.65% for 18 months and 1.00% for 2 years respectively for a balance between $1,000 and $99,999.
