It’s time once again to have a look at Regions Bank CD rates, since we here at Highest CD Rates Info haven’t updated you on their latest offers in a little while.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Regions Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on Regions Bank Certificate of Deposit Rates, please see the following page: Regions Bank CD Rates

There are two specials being offered right now for highest CD rates at Regions. Their 25 month term have a 1.50% annual percentage yield (APY) and their 45 month term offers a 2.00% APY. These are limited time offers and require a $10,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain.

Several other terms are available for Regions Bank certificate of deposit rates, of course. These start at 7 days and go out to 72 months with minimum deposits of $2,500 for terms up to 90 days and $500 minimum for terms 90 days or longer.

Terms under 1 month pay 0.03% APY, 1-5 months pay 0.28% APY, 6-11 months pays 0.30% APY, and 12-17 months pays 0.35% APY. Regions CD rates for 18-29 months pays 0.40% APY while 30-35 months pays 0.50% APY.

Longer terms give Regions Bank CD rates starting at 36-47 months at 0.75% APY, 48-59 months have current CD rates of 0.75% APY as well. Finally, highest CD rates for longer terms of 60-72 months are 0.85% APY.

Regions is, of course, fully FDIC insured. Current CD rates can change at any time, so if any of these appeal to you, lock your Regions CD rates in today. The FDIC covers up to $250,000 in deposits until January 1, 2013 when that reverts back to $100,000.

Terms for Regions Bank certificate of deposit rates range from 7 days to 72 months. Rates fluctuate by term, of course, with the highest CD rates being on certain, select terms. We’ll look at those Regions CD rates with better rates first.

For a 7 month term, the current special rate is 1.01% APY (annual percentage yield). At 12 months, more special Regions CD rates are 2.00% APY. At 23 months, the special Regions Bank CD rates are 2.50% APY and then at 42 months, the highest CD rates are at 3.25% APY.

For 7 days to 2 months, the rate is 0.25% APY, 3-5 months gives 0.40% APY, and 6 months gives 0.65% APY.

Regions CD rates for 8-11 months are also 0.65% APY and at 13-22 months they are 1.01% APY. For 24-35 months, the Regions Bank certificate of deposit rates are 1.25% APY and for 36-41 months they are 1.50% APY.

Regions CD rates for 43-59 months are 1.50% APY as well and at 60-72 months they rise to 1.75% APY.

Most of these rates are generally below national average with the exception of the special terms, for which the Regions Bank CD rates are higher than average and are in the top 5 for many. Definitely worth considering.

Regions Bank is FDIC insured, of course, and current CD rates change often. So if any of these highest CD rates for Regions Bank CD rates appeal to you, lock yours in today.

It’s been a little while since we last looked at Regions Bank CD rates, so we here at Highest CD Rates Info thought we should show you the latest and current CD rates at Regions right now.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Regions Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on Regions Bank Certificate of Deposit Rates, please see the following page: Regions Bank CD Rates

There are three special rates right now on Regions certificate of deposit rates. These are the 10, 20, and 40-47 month terms, all of which have extremely competitive and highest CD rates right now. The annual percentage yield for them is 1.50% APY for the 10 month, 2.00% APY for the 20 month, and 3.00% for the 40-47 month terms.

Several other Regions CD rates are available as well, of course. Most are very competitive and many are the nation’s highest CD rates right now. Current CD rates worth looking into include:

0-2 months at 0.60% APY and 3-5 months at 0.75% APY. These are great short-term rates. You won’t find these very often.

For 12-19 months, Regions Bank CD rates are 1.35% APY right now. 24-35 months gives a 1.50% APY.

The highest Cd rates for Regions certificate of deposit rates right now are definitely that special 40-47 month offer at 3.00% APY, which compares to their sixty month offer at 2.00% APY.

All Regions Bank accounts are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. Current CD rates could change at any time, of course, and often do. So if any of these Regions CD rates appeal to you, lock your rate in now before it changes.

Regions Bank has branches in 16 states and is on of the top ten banks in the United States. Highest CD Rates Info decided to review Regions Bank CD rates in our search for the best CD Rates for your money.

*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Regions Bank CD Rates. For our latest article on Regions Bank Certificate of Deposit Rates, please see the following page: Regions Bank CD Rates

Regions Bank CDs are available in a wide variety of term lengths. Regions Bank short term certificates of deposit can be found with terms as short as 7 days, and as long as 89 days. These short term Regions CDs require a minimum deposit of $2,500.

Regions Bank longer term CDs range in term from 90 days up to 6 years. These long term CDs require a minimum deposit of only $500, which is less than many financial institutions require.

You can apply for a Regions Bank CD account online, and customers with certain other Regions Bank accounts may qualify for a higher Regions Bank CD interest rate. Please note that, like many CDs, Regions Bank may charge a penalty if you decide to withdraw your funds before the end of the CD term.

With such a wide range of terms, there is a RegionsBank CD to fit any CD ladder strategy. Also, the low minimum investment adds to your ability to be flexible and spread your money across different accounts (and thereby hopefully diversifying your risk). So, if you think you may be interested in learning more about a Regions Bank certificate of deposit, please be sure to check the Regions Bank web site for specific details available in your area, as not these details can change with time and vary by location.
