This is the last Wachovia Bank CD rates update by Highest CD Rates. It has been some time since Wells Fargo took a controlling interest of Wachovia, but they allowed it to remain as a separate entity. That has now ended. Below are the Wells Fargo CD rates that have replaced the Wachovia rates for the future.

The 39 month is earning an APY of 0.70%. This CD renews as a 3 year CD. The best CD rates are from the 58 month CD that is earning an APY of 1.15%. This CD renews as a 4 year CD.

Each of these promotional CD requires a minimum deposit of $5,000 to open an account. All of these CDs can be opened online or at a branch office for your convenience.

The Wachovia Bank certificate of deposit rates include both the standard rates and the promotional ones. The minimum deposit for the standard CDs is $2,500 and $5,000 for the promotional CDs.

We at Highest CD Rates are revisiting the Wachovia Bank CD rates to help keep you updated on the changes that have occurred. Since March of 2010, Wachovia has become a Wells Fargo company, but is still operating as an independent branch of that financial giant.

The Wachovia Bank certificate of deposit rates are in a tiered format, along with a few feature CDs. The tiered categories include the minimum deposit amounts of $1,000, $10,000, $50,000 and $100,000, with the minimum deposit for the feature CDs being $5,000.

The current CD rates include the featured 37 month CD that is earning an APY of 1.25%. The 45 month CD is earning an APY of 1.50%. The best CD rates are with the 58 month CD that is earning an APY of 2.00%. Each of these featured CDs requires the depositor to also have a Wachovia Checking account.

The current fixed CD rates that are in a tiered format do not change as the deposit amount increased. The 3 month CD is earning an APY of 0.01%. The 6 month CD is earning an APY of 0.10%. The company has acquired Wachovia Bank and the latter has lost its independent status as the final process of merger was completed in March 2010. Following are the bank cd rates as of April 19, 2010, and they are still offered by Wachovia under the parenthood of Wells Fargo.

People looking for best CD rates at Wachovia will have to invest in its 58-month special CD where they can earn up to 3.00% APY with a minimum deposit of $5,000. Highest CD Rates are also available on the 34-month investment where people can earn as high as 2.00% APY.

Wachovia Bank CD Rates for fixed rate investments are at par with the market standards. A 1-year investment at the bank is estimated to return an APY of 0.40%. We first wrote about Wachovia CD Rates last summer, and we have occasionally checked back in with them since that time. Therefore, Highest CD Rates thought we would take another look at Wachovia CD Rates to see how they are shaping up now that Wachovia has been acquired by WellsFargo.

We are sorry to report that the standard fixed Wachovia CD rates are nothing to get too excited about. All of those rates, even Wachovia jumbo CD rates, are currently less than 1.00 percent Annual Percentage Yield (APY).

However, things got a bit better when we looked at the Featured Wachovia CD rates. Currently, Wachovia has two featured CDs, so we took a look at both of them.

The Wachovia 9 Month Featured Certificate of Deposit earns interest at the rate of 1.49 percent, which translates to an APY of 1.50 percent. This CD requires a minimum deposit of $5,000.

The Wachovia 14 Month Featured Certificate of Deposit earns interest at the rate of 1.88 percent, corresponding to an APY of 1.90 percent. A minimum deposit of $5,000 is also required for this CD.

It has been a little while since we published our last article on Wachovia CD Rates, so those of us here at Highest CD Rates Info thought that it was time to check up on CD rates at Wachovia Bank. We found one CD in particular that we thought was pretty attractive.

As Wachovia is one of the biggest banks in the United States, we were eager to see how Wachovia CD Rates compare to the competition. So, those of us here at Highest CD Rates Info thought that for our first bank review we would review Wachovia Bank CD rates. While there are many Wachovia CDs to choose from, in this article we will focus on the highest CD rates available from Wachovia.

We were immediately interested in the Wachovia Featured Certificate of Deposit. This Wachovia CD comes in two different term lengths — a 7 month CD and a 12 month CD.

The Wachovia Featured CD with a seven month term offers an interest rate of 3.92 percent and an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 4.00 percent. This Wachovia CD requires a minimum deposit of $5,000.
