Chase CD Rates
We last reviewed Chase Bank CD Rates back in the summer, but there have been a lot of changes in the financial landscape since then. So, we here at Highest CD Rates Info decided it was time to take another look at Chase CD Rates in our search for the best certificate of deposit rates.
*Editor’s Note: this is an older article, and we have recently updated our research about current Chase CD Rates. For our latest article on Chase Bank CD Rates, please see the following page: Chase CD Rates
In fact, the last time we looked at CD rates at Chase Bank, they ranked among the highest certificate of deposit rates on the market. Although we wish we could report that that was still the case, unfortunately we cannot say that about their current CD rates.
We looked at two types of Chase Bank certificates of deposit. The first type is the standard Chase Bank Certificate of Deposit. We won’t belabor the point here, the top CD rates for this type of Chase CD is a 1.01 percent Annual Percentage Yield (“APY”) — even if you commit for 36 months — not exactly an inspiring CD yield. These Chase Bank CDs require a minimum deposit of $1,000.
The second type of Chase CDs that we reviewed are the Chase Bank CD Specials. The 12 month Chase Bank CD is slightly better, with an APY of 1.75 percent. Things get more interesting with the 60 month Chase Bank certificate of deposit, which earns an APY of 2.50 percent. Both of these Chase Special CDs require a minimum depost of $10,000.
Times have definitely been changing, so it is not surprising that Chase Bank CD interest rates are lower than when we last reviewed them. Hopefully, these rates will improve in the future — be sure to check the Chase online banking web site, as CD rates change often.
