CD rates at Citizens Bank for a minimum investment of $1,000, which is the standard requirement at the company, are as follows. For a 1-year CD, the bank offers an Annual Percentage Yield of 0.60%. A 15-months CD yields 0.75% whereas a 2-year CD at the bank returns an APY of 1.00%. A 3-year CD offers an APY of 1.50%. A 4-year CD investment will return an APY of 1.70% and 5-year CD yields 2.00%.
Citizen CD rates for premium accounts are relatively higher than the standard investments. Circle banking customers of the bank can benefit from an APY of 0.85% for a one year CD. Customers with Circle Gold banking accounts will receive an APY of 1.10% on the same investment.
The current CD rates ascend for longer term investments. A 15-month CD for Circle and Circle Gold would yield 1.00% and 1.25%, respectively. A 3-year investment yields 1.74% on Circle and 2.00% on Circle Gold accounts whereas a 4-year investment for Circle and Circle Gold option yields 1.95% and 2.20%, respectively. Investors in 5-years CDs will receive an APY of 2.25% for Circle and 2.50% for Circle Gold accounts.
The bank also offers the option of opening IRA CD accounts. The bank reserves the right to deduct money from accounts in case of early withdrawals.
