Aurora Bank FSB is offering the second highest yield of 1.54% for a minimum deposit of $1,000.
CD rates offered by American Express Bank FSB hover around 1.50% and there is no deposit restriction. Discover Bank also offers the same rates but asks for a minimum balance of $2,500.
Ally Bank does not have any requirements for minimum deposit and offers an APY of 1.49% for one year CD. Other bank CD rates take a significant dip as the next best rate is offered by BankDirect at 1.11% APY. It asks for a minimum deposit of $10,000. Capital One Direct Banking is offering an APY of 0.50% for a minimum deposit of $5,000. Interest is compounded daily on these accounts and banks impose penalties and additional charges in case of early withdrawals of money and other violations of user agreement.
