SunTrust Bank CD Rates

SunTrust Bank is one of the largest financial institutions in the United States, with almost 1,700 branches in the Southeast United States.  So, we were eager to see if SunTrust Bank CD rates were among the highest CD rates.

There are currently two  special offer certificates of deposit at SunTrust Bank: a 13 month CD and a 30 month CD.

The SunTrust Bank 13 Month CD earns an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 3.80 percent. This SunTrust CD requires a minimum deposit of $2,000.

The SunTrust Bank 30 Month No-Penalty CD earns an APY of 3.00 percent. This CD also requires a minimum investment of $2,000. Unlike most CDs, this SunTrust No-Penalty CD gives you the option to withdraw some or all of your money one time during the term of the CD without having to pay a penalty.

These SunTrust CD rates are pretty interesting these days, given the current state of the market. So, you may want to check out CD rates at SunTrust Bank if you are looking for a stable investment for your money. Be sure to check out the SunTrust online banking web site, as CD rates change often and can vary by region.

  2. I do banking personally and as Treasurer for the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary at Sun Trust in Sevierville, TN. A DAVA CD in the amount of $39,000+ is up for renewel; however, I was quoted a l.+ rate on a 1 year renewal. I was not told about a 13 month rate of 3.80, so I am currently contacting other banks in Sevierville. I feel that I have the responsibility of getting the best rate I can for the DAVA, where the money goes to help veterans. I do not understand how one Sun Trust bank can be so different from what is advertisd. Eunice Eledge
